If you are like me over the next few weeks you will be scouting the stores looking for something for you and maybe even your kids to wear to church this Easter. Americans spent 4billion dollars on Easter last year. I'm pretty sure this is the church. I don't see many people in the world throwing big ol bashes for Easter. But, nothing says the resurrection like a new dress when we have dozens of them right:)?
After reading a convicting book on excess I felt the Lord prompting me to look in my closet before buying something new. Then I thought maybe he could even use that small amount of money that would have been spent to do something eternal!
Enter the amazing seminary in Pakistan my heart leaps over! I love seeing the pictures on facebook of the women who are partnering with us in Seacoast women's ministry. They are doing our Arise bible study curriculum and also learning a trade, being released to share the gospel to the unreached people in Pakistan.
We committed at the start of the year to raise the 2200.00$ needed for their sewing room. Well, if 100 of us ladies wear a beautifully not new dress this Easter and give that 22$ instead to the Cross Connecting Network we will have our mission completed!
Watch the short video below and join us as we challenge the Easter dress this year and become women on mission!
